Best Travel Stroller for the Budget Conscious Mommy

This is a personal one for all of you who've taken on the title of Budget Conscious Mom and are in need of something to help transport your child. An easily transportable stroller is invaluable when it comes to transporting your little one, whether it be just putting the stroller in the back of your car, or taking it on vacation with you. Not only are we looking for the best travel stroller, but we are also looking at the best strollers for air travel as well. Here are what we found for the the comfiest and most transportable strollers.

1. Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller

Baby Trend Rocket Lightweight Stroller

The coolest thing about this compact stroller is that it’s one of the lightest on the market, coming in a at a nice thirteen pounds. Since it's an ultralight stroller, it is agile and fits in the car or in the trunk easily, just unfold and you are back on the go.  So unless you're extremely superstitious, this would be a nice choice. The stroller is equipped with the basics in stroller technology such as a five point harness for safety, a canopy for protection from the elements, a little storage basket big enough to fit a conservative diaper bag, and of course, a parking brake that is foot activated. Food for thought: this stroller has a comfy padded fixed seat, but you won't be able to lean your baby back for naps.

Chicco C6 Stroller

This particular umbrella stroller is meant for one child, but you're looking at about 37 pounds for the maximum weight. The frame is extremely lightweight at only eleven pounds, and it comes with a little over the shoulder holster bag, making it pretty portable. The nice thing for your child is the fact that it’s not a fixed seat, so you can let your baby lean back and relax. It also has an all wheel suspension system for rough terrain and the wheels in the front have swivel locks, so this thing can really maneuver. To cover all our bases, this stroller does have a 5 point harness as well as a nice little sunshade, a large storage organizer, and folds up to fit in and out of the tightest places with ease.

Summer Infant 3Dlite Convenience Stroller

This stroller is an all around win for both you and your baby. The cool thing for your child is the awesome full-recline, so they can lay down flat and easily nap while you push around go about your day. There’s also a pocket on the back of the seat so you can easily store items. Of course, there is a basket underneath but keep in mind that it’s not very accessible when your child is fully reclined. There’s also a carry strap on the stroller so whenever you fold it up, it’s easy to just throw over your shoulder and continue on your adventure.

UPPAbaby G-LUXE Stroller

Now this is a monster of a stroller with all of the newest and best stroller technologies available, including an aluminum frame. It’s a lightweight stroller that comes equipped with a full reclining seat for your baby’s enjoyment. There is also a  footrest and the canopy is extremely easy to adjust and to detachable. Plus there is an extendable sun shade with an SPF of 50! When the stroller is folded up, it can balance on it's own so you don't have to worry about it tipping over. In addition, the padding is removable and machine washable, which really helps keep the stroller clean.

Baby Jogger Vue Lite Stroller

The Baby Jogger Vue Lite Stroller is a great travel stroller because of its ability to turn into a car seat if you purchase an adapter for your car.  This makes it extremely convenient for air travel because there's no need to bring a car seat and a stroller; it's all one! Also, the seat itself can turn to face you or it can face away from you, with multiple recline options in each direction. There is also a nifty sun shade which is 50+ SPF, so your kid will be safe from the suns rays.

When it comes down to it, you have to pick the one that's right for you and your lifestyle. If you travel often, I would recommend the Baby Jogger because it's easily convertible from a stroller to a car seat.  If you want a stroller that's compact, yet has all the bells and whistles, I would go with the UPPAbaby stroller. Think about what your needs are, and pick a stroller based on that. You can't go wrong with any of these top travel strollers!
